| Cosa Nostra | Mon 3 May, 08:36 AM | | One for the Vespa guru's on the site; can Cosa (200) rims and tyres be fitted on a PX ? The only difference i can see is that the tyres are 100/90-10, which i've seen on other PX's. I'm not sure if spacers have to be fitted, if so what size and where do you get them? I've no spare for the PX but got a couple of these rims and tyres kicking about so would like to use them if possible. Thanks for any sensible replies. |

| Paul P | Mon 26 Apr, 08:42 PM | | The casings have been profiled to suit. had a look on the PM site you suggested but i thought it lacked basic information, especially when they are selling the products. I will do as you have suggested and up rate the jets, it's the easiest and cheapest option as well:) Thanks for your help, good info' |
| ducksta | Mon 26 Apr, 07:46 PM | | so you got a standard engine and putting a polini kit on it without tuning the casings so the kit will not run to its full potential so just go up a jet size on your main jet and keep your eye on your plug check out pm tuning website if you are looking for more options. piaggio no need for personal attacks on site users, curious asked for peoples opinions so he is allowed his even if you dont like his views. |
| Paul P | Mon 26 Apr, 06:59 AM | | Thanks for replies regarding the carb' a few differences of opinion eh!! Ducksta, when you say a 24/24 jetted correctly, what size jets? I know some of the carbs can have different jets but what sizes are you thinking of ? I will be mainly touring on itm i won't be using it through the week, mainly for the Nationals. Thanks |
| curious | Sat 17 Apr, 11:13 AM | | I say boycott ALL YSA events except for confrontation purposes and attend as many National Rallies (VFM) as possible. The YSA are an embarrasment to Yorkshire folk. |
| curious | Fri 16 Apr, 11:00 PM | | Yes, I'll be at Cleethorpes Ducksta, I'll also be at Llandudno, Kelso, Great Yarmouth, IOW, etc. I might keep it secret from you though at what time I'm setting off! LOL!! Tell you what pal, sounds like you've got a beef with me - let's have a chat face to face at the next national rally, see you there LOL |
| curious | Fri 16 Apr, 10:10 PM | | What's the point of doing the coast to coast with a bunch of knobheads (YSA), why not go down to the IOW and spend some time on the biggest scooter rally in the world with the VFM providing entertainment in August? The coast to coast is just pointless, for amateurs. There's a top bill scheduled for the August bank holiday weekend, I've been told that the chequerboard squares are playing in Ryde on the Saturday night. |
| Mick | Mon 5 Apr, 12:29 PM | | Quite a few of the lads are saying they're going to Cleethorpes. It's been suggested going on Friday at about 6ish after work, any thoughts? probably coming back Sunday dinner timeish. Most lads are tenting it. got a van going for those with lambrettas :) Members and associates (or by invite) only |
| YSA4EVER | Sat 3 Apr, 05:13 PM | The YSA event at Scarborough was a fantastic success !!
Dukester, Liquidiser, Shello and the other seven who attend say they will do it again next year !!
Markmywurdz a rebel and now a Prophet ! |
| Michael Stone | Fri 2 Apr, 03:41 PM | | regarding that trip to Holland. I thought it was open to anyone and you didn't have to be a member? five of us went last year and four the year before, both times only two riders were members but the YSA didn't have a problem? I don't think any of us were "hypocrites" we just paid the money that was asked. If anyone is a "hypocrite", surly it's the people who organised it for members and then allowed non-members to attend. Or did you mean the lad who went with you used someone elses ID? |

| TT | Mon 29 Mar, 07:05 PM | | i was folowin that thred on the ysa forum, what a set of tossers. just cos Ducksta said a few hometruths they pulled the thred....fukin jokers, i wonder if they can deduct "points" for going against the ysa party rules !!! |
| curious | Mon 29 Mar, 01:08 AM | | The YSA are a bunch of knobs, I CANNOT remember any ONE of them back in the day - try and prove me wrong, wankers all of them! |
| Admin | Sun 28 Mar, 06:26 PM | | I see over on the YSA website that the 'keyboard warriors' are slagging people off for airing views that are different to theirs, not surprising really, fucking cowards. They haven't got the balls to say it face to face, come to think of it, they never had the balls to say anything in the BSRA meeting at Brid last year either! |
| curious | Mon 22 Mar, 10:21 PM | | Ducksta, are you for real? You're COMPLETELY missing my point!! it's as plain for anyone to see! Are you just winding me up pal? I'm not talking about who's going to what do or anything, I'm talking about PRINCIPLES! A good example would be; you turning up at a Labour Party conference, you might have a fantastic time with all the free food and ale, but would you actually attend an event like that given your right-wing, tory views in the first place? Another example would be like a middle-class conservative having to do manual work ie. on a building site - these things just don't happen, not in the real world anyway. |
| TT | Fri 19 Mar, 07:41 PM | | i'm with the saxons on this, sod the ysa. lets go where we want not where they say. fuck it i might go to scarbrough for the hell of it and tell fucks what i think/ shud b fun when thye ask foe me id card. i don't post names and neither should anyone. nicknames are diferent !! |
| Mick | Fri 19 Mar, 06:00 PM | | Seeing as my name has been mentioned (bit pissed off) i thought it best to reply. Regarding the Dutch invasion: yes i went, no i didn't buy a pint on site and i wouldn't do it again. Lepton yes i was there no i didn't pay to get in. Have i been to another YSA event ?? no can't think of any. Have i ever paid to join the YSA or sported their badge - NO. So do i support the YSA, no i think their splitting from the national committee is wrong and i won't support them, plus i have other issues with them. Will i go to one of their events, I'll do what i fucking like !! |
| curious | Fri 12 Mar, 10:07 PM | Take your point Dave. Ducksta's already admitted on here that he/she uses other aliases and i'm fairly certain that it's a 'she' as the Vespa scooter is often mentioned in a favourable light.
The problem really lies solely with the mod/admin, who should apply a proper login whereas people cannot use aliases and just abuse one another, it's childish and pathetic to say the least, however not surprising really. Anyone that knows the small, close-knit circle of people that are involved with this 'club' will know that their agenda is not really about scooters. |
| m&m | Thu 11 Mar, 09:29 AM | 14, although it did bring a wry smile to an otherwise hangdog expression, i must take exception to your derogatory reference to Stevie Wonder. Anyone who has sat through the intro's to both 'Superstition' & 'Boogie on reggae woman' will undoubtedly experience an involuntary movement between foot & ankle, i understand the modern vernacular to be 'footapper'.
However, moving on, is it true Phil that you wandered into the watch repairers in town on Saturday, greeted the young assistant with a wink, then hefted the 'big fella' onto the counter, only to be met with an indignant "may i remind you sir, this is a clock shop, not a cock shop", to which you replied, "i know luv, put two hands on this"?
As a further aside re the Ysa debate, it does appear to have a strong bias towards the Calder Valley region, in that i mean the cleckhuddersfax area. I do beleive their spokeperson, i understand to be called 'Liquidiser' from a previous post, eminates from around there. That's not to say Leeds & Bradford are'nt represented on their forum, as from what i can gather a few Gemini & St George lads are regular posters. But it does seem underrepresented in quite a number of the other national scootering 'strongholds' such as Donny, Scunny, Hull & indeed York. Is this a conscious decision from those areas not to be too heavily involved in what is surely a fragmentation of the scene as we know (knew) it, or are regional alliances the only way scootering can survive, as a letter in last months 'Scootering' mag put it "riding 10 miles to a neighbouring town every other week"?
Discuss.........that's the Ysa thing, not Phil's appendage! |
| curious | Mon 8 Mar, 05:50 PM | | it would be interesting to know what the saxon's views are on the YSA and the membership card scheme? remember in the eighties when you lot flatly refused to get them for entry to NRC do's and events. |
